Genetic Code (Simian Flu)
Cortisol Sensitivity
In the demonstration video, specifically in the first one without the use of this gene, you can notice the establishment of Gen-Sys laboratories in Brazil, USA and UK, where previously 4% has been developed, during the course of the game, the laboratory in Brazil manages to quickly exterminate the apes in the country then opens a new one in the US and later one in UK, the cure has reached approximately 40% of completed in this short period of time where the apes did not intervene.
In the second game where Cortisol Sensitivity was used, the labs were established in France, Indonesia and UK, it can be noted that it starts from 0% and ends at 22% in the cure progress, first the lab in France is established, and then the one in Indonesia is activated and then the one in UK. As in the other game, the first lab established is able to annihilate the ape population of the country quickly.
By comparing the data, we can note that Cortisol Sensitivity temporarily slows down Gen-Sys efforts, where it takes almost twice as long to properly investigate the pathogen. An important aspect when evaluating this gene is that the two sets taken into account were done on Normal Difficulty and the Apes did not attempt to destroy any laboratories as well as not evolve anti-cure abilities to try to calculate more or less the main effect of this.
This is a rough estimate as you have to take into account also the number of active laboratories as well as how much priority humans have assigned to find a cure to the disease, the game has several variables that determine the speed of research as well as progress of the cure during the course, so depending on the circumstances as well as your actions you take in the game will alter the progress of the cure whether you have this gene or not, so you also have to be careful about the way you play to prevent the cure from skyrocketing.
